Everybody wants their wedding day to be perfect, whether it`s a small family-only affair or a wedding fit for royalty. In order for things to run as smoothly as possible, everything must be planned right down to the tiniest detail and that includes the wedding car.

The choice of wedding car may not be top of people`s priority list but it is imperative that the right decision is made. After all, this is the car that will chauffeur the bride to the special occasion and so everyone will be keeping a keen eye out for its arrival. And it`s also the vehicle that the married couple will be waved off in, so it simply has to be right.

Will it be a limousine, a sports car, a vintage car or a classic wedding car? This will depend largely upon the type of wedding you are having but should also reflect the type of people you are.

And this will require some research into the types of wedding car that are available and the services that are on offer.

    Classic Wedding Cars

Rolls Royce and Bentley are probably the two most prestigious makes and offer the perfect models for classic wedding cars. If you want this kind of car then you will probably want an open-top car with large wheels and rounded wings and wheel arches, something that resembles an old-fashioned race car. If so, then the Rolls Royce Phantom and Ghost models will be the perfect vehicle for you.

    Sports Cars

If you require something a little different for your wedding, then a luxury sports car could be the way to go. Top models include the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, the Bentley Continental GT Coupe or the Jaguar XK Convertible, all of which will ensure you arrive at your wedding in some speed as well as style.

    Limousines

If you want to make an impression as you arrive along with other key members of your wedding party, then a limousine could be a good choice as these can seat the bride and bridesmaids or even the groom and any ushers. And this way you can get the party started before the wedding has started.

    The Right Car and Service

Once you have decided upon the type of car that will best suit your special day, then you should look at the services on offer. For example, you will have to decide between a one-way journey to your wedding venue, a two-way journey then on to your reception or multiple journeys that cover multiple venues - something that is very popular with Asian weddings.

It is important that you pick the right package not only to suit your wedding plans, but also to fit your budget.

    Getting Married in Singapore

Anyone getting married in Singapore must adhere to the country`s laws, which means obtaining a licence from the Registrar of Marriages whether your wedding is religious or civil. This licence is valid for a period of 90 days after it is obtained.

Although no formal immigration forms need to be filed, at least one of the parties that is registered to be married must complete a 15-day continuous residence in Singapore. After this, a notice should be filed with the registrar, at which point there is a 21-day waiting period while the banns are published.

If you are looking to get married in Singapore, then you should do extensive research into not only the legal requirements but also the accepted local customs.
