  • Jurong Bird Park


    Jurong Bird Park is an aviary and one of the famous tourist attraction in Singapore which covers the area of 49 acres and managed by the Wildlife Reserves Singapore. It was opened to the public on 3rd January 1971 with a built cost of S$3.5 million.

    The famous bird park is a well known bird zoo housing specimens of magnificent birds from around the world. It is currently the world’s largest bird park in term of the number of birds! There are 5000 birds from 400 species and 29 of these species are a threatened species.

    The park also consists of new entrance plaza, “Bongo Burgers” Restaurant, an ice cream parlor, a gift shop and a bird hospital. There are lots of famous exhibits to visit which includes the African Waterfall Aviary, Dinosaur Descendants, Wings of Asia, Lory Loft, Penguin Coast, World of Darkness and Pelican Cove.

    The visitors can also enjoy the stunning “High Flyers Show” where visitors can watch talented birds like the mimicking ”cockatoos” and can also enjoy watching the natural behaviour of pelicans and flamingos, and many other birds as well.

    The next top shows are called Kings of Skies Show where visitors can watch predatory birds fly in loops and soar above the treetops. After that great experience, visitors can get even more excitement by attending a lunch session with the Parrots. In this show, visitors can enjoy a parrot show over lunch just in front of the flamingo lake.
